To help you with the maintenance of your lawn, here are a few tips that you'll want to remember. Keep these things in mind when you're setting up or caring for your newly-installed turf.
Tips for Laying Turf
Before you lay new turf, the topsoil should be level and lump-free to ensure that the turf's roots contact the ground. In hot conditions, wet the soil lightly before laying the turf. Start laying along your area's longest straight edge, and lay across slopes, never down them. Stagger the turf in a brickwork pattern, and make sure that the strips meet without gaps in between them. Water the new turf within 20 minutes of laying.

Watering
When your new lawn is laid, it will need daily watering throughout the first two weeks. Afterwards, a deep watering once a week will be helpful for your lawn, especially in hot, dry conditions.
Fertilising
Fertilise at least three times a year to maintain a healthy, weed-free lawn, and make sure to water it after the fertiliser is applied in order to avoid the fertiliser causing burns to the new turf.
Mowing
When you first mow the new turf, make sure that its root system is binding with the soil and set the mower high so that you only take the top third of the grass. Grass established time may vary depending on season. Make sure the blades are sharp, to prevent grass being slashed and exposing roots.
